School of International Relations of Economics and Trade (IRET)
The School of International Relations of Economics and Trade of HIT was founded in 2003. The school aims at meeting new demand for project research and specialists training in this field, especially after China's entering into WTO. The school constitutes law study and economic study with directions as international trade, international law, finance and tourism economics. At the same time, the school will also focus on the study of international resource exploration, professional training, social and scientific programs research, and relevant theoretical research. The School of International Relations of Economics and Trade of HIT plans to offer teaching positions to outstanding professors home and abroad and welcome international students to come and share our resources. The school will provide demand-oriented graduates for governments, multinational companies, international organizations and educational/scientific research sectors.
The first 11 post graduates of the school will begin their study in September, 2004. At present, the school consists of China-U.S. Trade and Economic Cooperation Institute, China-Korea Economics and Trade Relations Institute, China-Russia Economics and Technological Cooperation Institute, International Commercial Dispute Resolution Centre, Public and Business Affairs Survey Centre. Institute for Energy, Environment and Development, China-Japan Economics and Trade Relations Institute, China-European Union Economics and Trade Relations Institute and China-ASEAN Economics and Trade Relations Institute are under construction.
